If summer had an official fruit, watermelon would surely be it. As I write this, there’s a big, dark green, juicy, seedless cannonball watermelon sitting in my fridge. It’s my first melon of the year, a cat-sitting gift from my wonderful neighbors.
But watermelons aren’t just fun to eat; they also make for great home decor and fashion designs, and this time of year you can see them just about everywhere.
Here are some ideas for making your own watermelon-themed creations. Whether you’re into painting, sewing, crocheting, or soapmaking, these watermelon DIY projects will help you work these trendy fruits into your summer crafting plans.
